At the start of 2010, I made a commitment to post a new Mixergy interview with a remarkable entrepreneur every weekday. It was exhausting at first, but by the end of the year my work was drastically improved in every way (quality of interviews, audience size, access to interviewees, etc.).

This year, I want to further increase the quality of my work by creating products so good that my audience would be willing to buy them. The problem is that I have no freakin’ idea what to create.

So I’m going to test. Consistently. Every Tuesday, actually.

My first attempts will probably suck (just like my first interviews did), but I’ll keep improving as I get more experience and feedback. By the end of the year I hope my work will be so good that you’ll consider it the best thing to happen to your life.

So starting next Tuesday, and every Tuesday after that, if you come back to Mixergy, you’ll see me test or talk about a different Mixergy product. (To give you a sense of the kinds of products I mean, I’ll tell you that past interviewees have offered to do private classes, create how-to guides and do online conferences.)

The interviews you’re used to seeing on Mixergy will still stay the same, I’ll just test new products in addition to them.

What are my parameters?

1. It has to be about the audience paying.
Not a sponsor. Not a boss. Not some benefactor. I think the best measure of usefulness is the end users’ eagerness to take money out of her pocket and pay for it.

2. It has to be about education.
My goal with Mixergy is to focus on education, so the products I test will have to be true to that mission.

What’s your feedback?

1. What topics would you like to see taught on Mixergy?

2. Who should I model my products on?

3. Got an idea that you want to work with me to create?
