KISSInsights makes those little surveys that you see on some Mixergy pages. I’ve only used it for a few days, so I haven’t figured out what questions will give me the most useful feedback yet. But I’m so excited about it that I hounded the company’s founder to sponsor Mixergy because I want to introduce it to my audience while it was still a new product.

Best part of KISSInsights (so far)

The form KISSInsights creates is so easy to fill out that my audience actually fills it out. The multiple choice form I used got 650 submissions within 4 days! Nothing ever got me that kind of user feedback before. Not comments, not Twitter, not those tabs labeled  “feedback,” NOTHING.

Question 1: What keeps you up at night?

My goal with this question is to find out where my audience’s biggest pain was so I could do interviews to address their real issues.

Here are some of the responses:

  • There are two: funding and conversion.
  • properly keeping up with taxes
  • how to make more money out of a massive visitor count
  • Converting more visitors on our website to customers.
  • finding new customers
  • generating revenue…revenue, revenue, revenue.
  • Forces that I don’t have control of that my revenue comes from such as Google Search, Advertisers, Users. Essentially finding secondary sources of revenue.
  • How to market effectively is what keeps me up at night.
  • expanding customer base.
  • time management
  • Sales and scaling development team. Sales needs to become scalable – how to go from the founder selling with passion to a scalable sales organization?
  • After your 10 time trying to start a website and only getting like 20 people to sign up what am I doing wrong.
  • pop ups on mixergy. just kidding :)

I got a whopping 149 responses like these in about 3 days.

By the way, I know that last commenter said he was kidding, but I adjusted the survey so it wouldn’t show up as often.

Question 2: What programs should I do more of?

The first question was more open-ended, so I got a wide collection of responses. To narrow it down, I replaced it with a multiple-choice survey.

That survey drew 650 responses in about 4 days.
