How LegacyBox got big

Joining me is someone who discovered that there are a lot of people who have photos, VHS tapes and other legacy digital products and want to digitize them.

I would’ve thought it would be a small business but I can’t believe how big the company has gotten.

I invited him here to figure it out how he did it.

Nick Macco is the co-founder of LegacyBox, which digitizes tapes, audio, photos and reels.

And usually the interviews that I do are with people who create software companies. And it seems like the only way to succeed right now.

Right? You come up with an idea, whether you turn it into an app or a web app or whatever, it doesn’t matter, but you do that. And then it scales joining me is someone well. Nick Mako discovered that there are a lot of people who, who have photos who have VHS tapes and have other legacy digital products that want them digitized, turned into DVDs or turned into, uh, files that they could put on their computers.

And he built this company off of that idea. And frankly, I would’ve thought it would be a small business. I would have thought it would be the kind of thing that competes with the local copy. Shop front, Nick, I’m looking at your face....
