The only thing Dan Martell & I agreed we wouldn’t reveal in this interview is the price he got when he sold his consulting company, Spheric Technologies (though he was willing to say it was more than a million dollars). Other than that, he was shockingly open, which makes this one of the most useful bootstrap case studies on Mixergy.

He revealed how he got clients by reading job listings and making calls under an assumed name. He was open about the mistakes he made. And he talked about the fun things he bought after he sold Spheric.

Today Dan runs Flowtown, but I intentionally cut Flowtown out of this interview so I could run it separately (on Monday), because the product development methodology he used to create Flowtown is too useful to be buried at the end of an interview.
