Looking for Success Patterns with Founder of DoubleClick & FindTheBest – with Kevin O’Connor

Kevin O’Connor, O'Connor Ventures, Funding, Sell Your Business, Web 1.0

I started this interview with the kind of focus you’ve come to expect from me, but then I found out what book Kevin O’Connor was reading and I ended up having a more philosophical discussion.

So you’ll get the “how he did it” story in this interview and find out how Kevin launched a company in his basement that ended up leading an industry. In 1995 he launched what became DoubleClick, Internet ad-technology company that was sold to Google in 2007 for $3.1 billion. And you’ll find out how he’s following it up with FindTheBest, a comparison engine which lets you compare smartphones, cigars and more.

But, because he’s been reading the biography of Andrew Carnegie, you’ll also hear us talk in a more general and philosophical way about how picking up on successful people’s patterns can influence you.
