  • Too bad I missed this. Will there be an archived copy of this interview? I probably will not use Adsense for my blog, but for a project I am currently working on, Adsense will certainly be part of the revenue stream.
  • I just finished editing this program. I should have it up tomorrow morning.
    Thanks for asking!

Bad content making more money in ads? Sounds logical to me. When you think about it, if I am enjoying the site content, I am less like to be diverted by an ad. That's mean you have a big problem Andrew! Your content is TOO good...

    Andrew,

I am probably the only one without Tweet so I can really ask questions in realtime but i have some questions for your guest:

1- What is the best way to do testing with AdSense ads?

2- If I do not have a web site but I want to advertise a web site for profit (affiliate), can I do that?

3- Can you still make money with affiliate programs using AdSense?

    Mo.
  • Thanks for this.

I'm going to have to try different ways of taking questions.
  • Daniel Licht
I have a few questions that are more on online advertising verses google ads.

I'd like to know if having the same banner ad at the same height on both sides of a page increases clicks or increases the users awareness and annoyance of the ads on your site.

How much is too much advertising (probably depends on the type of site, but still how can you know when you've gone over the line).
  • Actually Daniel, I need a bit of an explanation. What do you mean by banners
of the same height on both sides of a page? Can you have a banner ad on the
left and on the right? Aren't they too wide to do that?
  • Daniel Licht
O i think I meant bar add (the ones on the side of the page). E.g. your we worked with.

But I guess if your looking for something more broad you can basically just cover having more of an intense advertising campaign from only a few advertisers compared to having more advertisers with each being less intensified.

For example, if my site had a bar (vertical advertisement on the sides) on both sides and a banner ad at the top and at the bottom all from the same advertiser compared to splitting up those spaces with other advertisers.
  • I see what you mean. Thanks.
  • Thanks! Good questions. Let me see what I can find out.
  • momob
Great! I always wanted to know more about AdSense. Getting info from a pro is a treat. Thanks Andrew!

  • Your last live interview was a huge success! Thanks for all the suggestions.

This is the perfect next step after learning how to get an audience.
  • Thanks Jason. The input I get from doing the interviews live is exciting.
